I asked Lori to help me teach a group of young women ages 14-17 from my church about style and dressing for certain occasions. When we met her at the local mall, Lori had a display set up that had two pairs of pants, two skirts, four shirts, two jackets, three pairs of shoes and two necklaces. We discovered that with those 15 items we could make around 15 different outfits ranging from casual to dressy. I thought it was helpful to both the girls and their parents as she taught them to maximize their spending. Lori was also very honest with them about what would or would not look good on them and what was or wasn’t appropriate for them to wear in certain situations. For example, she made them rethink flip-flops in winter and combat boots outside of military service.
